We all have that sweater that becomes a staple in our fall wardrobe. I’m going to show you how to style your favorite sweater from daytime apple picking to night time apple martinis.
For a day look, style your sweater with light wash boyfriend jeans and lace up ankle boots. Add accessories in neutral colors such as a cute hat and scarf. Layering and fringe are big trends this fall, so why not apply that to your jewelry or bag choice? The necklace I picked out below has a very antique and classic feel that works well for this season. I’ve see fringe on skirts, jackets and now purses! I’m absolutely in love with it. The crossbody strap and fringe elements of this purse give this outfit an effortlessly bohemian vibe that anyone will love.
My daytime make up is always light and gives the illusion of fresh face. When picking out nail, eye and lip colors go for shades of nudes and natural pinks. Apply blush in that same color palette to the apples of your cheeks to add a little bit of warmth. If you decide to try out a hat , style your hair straight or in loose waves.
To answer the question we’ve all been wondering since it started to get a little colder.. yes you can wear a sweater out! Sweaters can be sexy! You can dress up your knitwear by pairing it with sleek materials such as leather. Layer a jacket over the sweater in this season’s most sought after color, camel. Because it is part of the nude color family, it will match with everything and give your whole outfit a chic upgrade. Do not be afraid to add a pop of print in your wardrobe, I’ve added it below with tan and cheetah heels. For accessories you should stick with darker colors and metallics, whether it be in the form of a bold statement necklace, rings or your purse.
My night time makeup is usually a little more vampy. I like to incorporate darker shades of lipstick, contour my face and style my hair in voluminous waves. The shade of lipstick below is a reddish brown. You want to pick colors in your beauty routine that will compliment the colors in your outfit. If I had picked a brighter red, this look would be ideal for a Christmas party, but the brown undertones play up the green color of the sweater without competing with it.
Now that you’ve seen how I style my favorite sweater from day to night, let me know in the comments below how you wear yours! I’ve also listed all of the products and links used in this post below.
